Halloween
We had a campus-wide Halloween celebration for all of yesterday. Well, I say WE, but I didn’t participate. It’s just one of those things that doesn’t really interest me, even though I know that it’s just dumb fun. Carly got to dress up as Utena Tenjou from this anime she’s really into. She even made this incredible recreation of Utena’s sword out of a plastic pipe. Sandra was Fred Durst. I asked her why, considering Limp Bizkit hasn’t been relevant in years and years. Literally all she said about it was “a little birdy told me to” and she did a PITCH PERFECT dark chuckle. It was literally something straight out of Kingdom Hearts. Incredible.
She did ask me why I wasn’t going to dress up. I told her the same thing, that it was just something not really up my alley. She was admittedly a little surprised. She told me that “it just seems like something you’d be really into”. Carly wasn’t really as surprised, considering we’ve been friends since I enrolled. She already knows what kind of person I am. Is it really that odd, that strange for me to not be into Halloween? I think I’m just surprised that people care this much. That said, they both came back laughing. They both looked so, so happy that they went.
I kind of don’t even know what they do. Do they go trick-or-treating? Do they go to a party? Do they go into the city in costume and go to a rave? I don’t really know how I haven’t asked at this point. I should ask.
