Snow?
I haven’t seen snow in years. I live in Florida, for God’s sake. It was way more common back when I lived in Michigan, though. But it’s really, really damn hot over here. So, obviously, I never see snow anymore. It’s just not something you would expect to see down here where winter is just a Trojan Horse for Christmas and Hanukkah. So you can sort of imagine my surprise and (admittedly embarrassing) awe. It’s coming down in droves. Is that normal? Does it usually just pour gently like this? I’m seeing people on campus go outside while class is canceled, laughing like schoolchildren in a picture-perfect storybook or cartoon. It’s beautiful. I just sort of wish I could enjoy it like they are right now. It’s a little too cold for me is all. And also I don’t think that Jack would approve, to be honest. He’s always found this sort of thing to be trite. But it doesn’t really bother me.
I’ll try it out for a bit. He won’t know.
