G78LHOOQ89.mov
So Carly’s been into archiving random YouTube videos. She’s always been big into archival projects for some reason. She finds this stray YouTube video from god-knows-where just titled, and I quote, “G78LHOOQ89.mov”. Sounds to me like somebody forgot to change the title of the video. The video isn’t even on YouTube anymore. I don’t know how she got ahold of it, and every time I’ve asked, I’ve been met with a coy “tee hee”. Here it is for anybody interested. I know I am. It shouldn’t be THAT interesting, given that it’s just a snippet of this kid(?) running through the woods while heavily breathing. The description is particularly bizarre, though.
“I NEED HELP
SHE’S AFTER ME
I DON’T WANT TO DIE”.
Apparently, this channel was connected to a Geocities blog under the same name. Here it is. Geocities shut down a year ago, but thank God for the Wayback Machine. I didn’t even know this was a thing until she told me about it with this crazed look in her eyes. I don’t know why she’s so pumped about the blog in particular. It’s just this edgy kid from 2004-2005? She won’t tell me what the deal is. She just keeps saying “trust me!”
Speaking of which, she dyed the tips of her hair bright red. It honestly makes her look like Shadow the Hedgehog when you look at how her black hair fades into red. It honestly suits her. When I told her this, though, she laughed super super hard.
“Shadow the Hedgehog??? Man, I could never take him seriously. Like, come on. He’s an anthropomorphic black-and-red hedgehog with a fucking gun. Haha!”
I don’t think she noticed my noticing, but I looked down for a bit after she said that. I’m an un-ironic fan of Sonic, god forbid. But when I looked down, I saw her bite her lip and also look down uncomfortably. It was only for a moment before she went back to gushing about the blog or whatever. She’s sort of cute. Not in a “I like her, kyaaa~” way, mind you! She’s just cute. You know what, forget I said anything.
But regardless, this has interested me. I mean, fucking look at it. The bright neon red and black text really sells it. I told Carly that we should show Sandra because oh my god. But she was like "eehhhhh maybe not". Wonder why?
